Ekiti Guber: Voting begins in Are-Ekiti, Afao-Ekiti

Voting commenced early in Are-Ekiti and Afao-Ekiti in the, on Saturday.
Afao-Ekiti is country home of incumbent governor, Ayo Fayose.
As at time of filing this report, Governor Fayose was said to be resting at home as he was yet to step out to cast his vote.

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has ordered accelerated investigation into the alleged battering of a beauty queen, Elizabeth Oyeniyi, by the state Commissioner for Water Resources, Abdumumini Danga. Oyeniyi had accused the commissioner of assaulting and raping her over a  Facebook  post. Oyeniyi had on March 29, 2020, made a post on her  Facebook  page about Danga not taking care of his sibling, who is her friend. A Facebook user known as Maradeam Osuji has taken to the platform to reveal that Delta State University, DELSU female students are now being robbed of their pants at gunpoint. Reports have it that unknown hoodlums are now stopping girls and snatching their panties at gunpoint for reasons best known to them. It was also claimed in one of the online reports that some girls are also being forced by the gunmen to urinate in cellophane bags.  The students and residents of Abraka are now calling on the vice-chancellor, state government and security agents to do something about the negative growing trend.
